These opportunities are made available by SciTEC in the College of Education through a USDOE grant provided by the LOSFA division of the Louisiana Board of Regents and a partnership with Coursera.

Available to all GEAR UP districts and students who have an interest in establishing a dual enrollment relationship with Louisiana Tech University. If you are interested in becoming a teacher and want to get a head start on your career, then this dual enrollment opportunity is for you. For GEAR UP students and GEAR UP teachers. Awesome camp on Coursera for GEAR UP students and teachers to learn about Physics. Learn how to turn your smart phone into a physics lab. You will also learn about motion, properties of sound, and much more. The learning takes place on the Coursera platform but is led by Dr. Pedro Derosa along with other instructors from the physics department and outstanding physics students. This is a tool to share physics and fun. This course will change the way you feel about physics. It makes physics fun. Teachers this is a wonderful tool to use with your students for physical science and physics. Students it is great for you to use as a tool to learn physics and prepare for your class or future.
