Zoom Room

We are excited to offer the opportunity for you to utilize a Zoom Room for your courses and/or meetings.  What is a Zoom Room? A Zoom Room is a software based system which integrates with a rooms equipment.  This provides an integrated experience for your virtual, blended, or face-to-face meetings.  

If you would like to RSVP the Zoom Room, please contact Teresa Jordan, tmann@latech.edu or 318-257-3712. On the day of your meeting, you will also see Teresa for the key.

Running Zoom Room Meetings

There is more than one way to host your Zoom meeting in the Zoom Room.  Below you will find the avenue currently being used by our faculty.

Turn on all equipment

If you contact 

The following Zoom Room equipment needs to be turned on:

• Instructors or participants in the classroom should not have to turn on the HoverCam Podium (includes the computer), main ActivPanel next to the podium, or microphones.
• Other classroom technology (progress monitors, cameras, additional ActivPanel) will need to be turned on.
• Instructions for turning on the equipment will be posted and are included below
